Absolutely. The Electric Oil Extractor Pump works on any engine that uses liquid-phase oil — petrol, diesel, hybrid, or electric motors with a gearbox. As long as there's a dipstick tube or filler neck, one of the three included tubes will reach the fluid.
For best results, run the engine for 3–5 minutes before extracting so the oil warms up to operating temperature. Warm oil flows much faster through the tube. In our tests, even moderately thickened oil extracted cleanly — it simply takes a minute or two longer than fully warmed oil.
Most passenger cars hold 4–5 litres of oil. At 1.5 litres per minute, extraction takes 3–4 minutes. Add 2 minutes for setup and refilling and you're done in under 10 minutes — start to finish.
